Ashling Lindsay is an Irish artist and writer from Belfast. Her books are published in more than 20 languages and have been nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal, shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize, The Klaus Flugge Prize and won the CBI Honour Award for Illustration. She has an MA in Design and a BA in Visual Communication, both from Belfast School of Art. Recent projects include an illustrated biography for the critically acclaimed and internationally bestselling series Little People, BIG DREAMS and the ACES award from the Arts Council NI to develop new work. Ashling teaches illustration at Belfast School of Art, is a member of the Illustrators Guild of Ireland, Children’s Books Belfast and is represented by Bright Agency in London. Ashling’s author/illustrated picturebook debut, ‘An Unexpected Thing’, publishes in Septemeber 2022. It is available to pre-order online and in all bookshops now.
